Ciara’s time to speak

In a Facebook post on her page, Ciara claims it was her who asked to be released from the contract with Jive after they failed to give her control over decisions regarding her past two albums. Read the post below.

This week the net has been a buzz of the rumor that I have been dropped from my label. At this point that rumor is false.. It is true that I have asked and I pray that my label will release me. I have had some great times and success with my label, but sometimes like all great things, it’s at that point where I feel we don’t share the same views on who I am as an artist. The past two albums have been very frustrating for me. At times there were songs I chose to lead a project and I was ignored! This project, I even tried to get “Gimmie Dat” started I spent tens of thousands of my own money only to hear the radio PDs tell me my label didn’t want the song played. I even spent more than one hundred thousand dollars out of my pocket on the video to bring my vision to it and still no label support. I do understand that some labels are not financially supporting their artists and I have become one of them. You, my fans, know that I strive to do my best to deliver to my you the best songs and creative vision I possibly can. I’m dedicated to my music, performance and to my fans! I’ve tried to be a team player with the label only to have compromised what I truly believed and was not given the right opportunity to promote and inform my fans of the release of this album. I have so much of me as an artist I still want to give to the world and my fans. A release would allow me to go be creative with people who care and understand me as an artist. In a short time, I will be able to bring to you a new music energy and a visual excitement! Thank you so much for standing by me through the good, bad, and the confusion. I love you all.

Love Ciara

Ciara chats with PopEater

Fresh off her fourth album, ‘Basic Instict,’ Ciara is eager for more.

The singer chatted with PopEater about wanting to work with Kanye West in the future.

“I just love his style, I love his energy. I love his confidence,” she tells PopEater

Of ‘Instinct,’ she adds, “I’m very, very, very proud of this record. My goal was to take it back to the basics, kind of how I first started.”

“Parts of the formula of who I am as an artist is that my music is always been able to play on the streets and be mainstream at the same time,” Ciara explains.

The singer also talks with us about being in the business for eight years and tweeting with her fans. Watch the video interview:

Ciara: ‘I’m in this for the long run’

On the eve of the release of her fourth album, Ciara stood attentive, watching her choreographer run through moves for a planned performance of her single “Gimmie Dat.” It was well after midnight when the songstress arrived at a rehearsal studio in Burbank. She’d just flown in from filming promotional appearances in New York, and without time to shake off any jet lag, she joined in with the army of dancers awaiting her.

Though in later conversation, the 25-year-old was steadfast in her optimism, there is a lot riding on “Basic Instinct.”

Her offering on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” — for which she was prepping — and later in the week, “Lopez Tonight,” would be the first time fans saw televised performances for the album that hit stores the same day of her planned Ellen spot –- and they were already buzzing about the seeming lack of promotion.

Our site had some ups and downs but it has never discouraged us to stop support Ciara. We won't give up that easily :) We still want to provide all latest news, photos and media as best as we can but we all (Cherry, Haris & Nat) live in Poland (Europe) because of time zone we often can't update the site on time, not to mention we can be busy sometimes (school, job). That's why we're looking for some help, whatever if you want to add news, photos or you're crazy about social networking services (facebook, twitter), it would be amazing to get new people on the board and continue to build the best Ciara's fansite as possible. We will appreciate any help:) If you interested, please email us theciarafever@gmail.com.
