22-year-old songwriter Ali Tamposi, who wrote for Kelly Clarkson (“What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger)”) and Beyonce (Save The Hero), talked about working with Ciara in her latest interview with BMI.com. She also revealed new song title “One-Woman Army”. Yesterday, she tweeted a photo (on the left; click to enlarge) from the studio: “Killer 3 weeks with my lovely ladies @livvifranc and @ciara and of course the unbelievable underdogs hiiyah“.
You’re a full-time songwriter these days. What’s life like?
Honestly, I really can’t even believe that this is a real job. Today I’m going to the beach because my session doesn’t start ’til six. But there are weeks when it gets really intense. I usually try to take Sundays off but there are weeks when Sunday comes that I’m a wreck. And then there are things that are mellow and cool and easy. Like right now I’m working on a Ciara album, and she’s been great. It’s Livvi Franc and I who are doing most of the writing for it, and it’s been really cool and laid back so that’s been fun. There’s a lot of angst and edge in [Ciara’s] music and we’ve tried to be really conceptual and write things that haven’t been done before and real strong women empowerment songs. This what I’ve been really wanting to do: Focus on one project. So we’ve been doing that the last few weeks now.Is there a topic you haven’t covered in a song but want to?
I really wanted to use, for years, the title “One-Woman Army,” and I just used it with Ciara. I had it initially as “One-Man Army,” and I changed it and it’s [about] a strong, really independent woman that if you’re going to be a part of her life you have to be strong, a fighter, a solider. It’s a really strong song. We’re working on that right now.

Ciara is a party girl. But not the kind that dances on tables and comes out of a club looking like Sloppy Sandy. She just knows how to have fun — on the sober tip — wherever she goes. The R&B songstress, whose coquettish vocals sound loudly on ‘Ride,’ a single featured on her 2010 album, ‘Basic Instinct,’ is taking her brand of merriment to cities across the U.S. as part of the Station Invasion Concert tour, presented by Radio Maliboom Boom.
She kicked off the event Saturday (July 16) in Miami, where she’s decided to unwind for a few days. “We’re gonna jet ski-it up, have fun on the beach, lay back and lay in the sun and just have a really fun, girls time,” she tells the BoomBox. While her fans and critics may be getting impatient, waiting on a new song to hit the airwaves, the Atlanta native promises she has a wealth of “things” to share when the time is right. Like any global force, the dance machine that she is deserves some time off occasionally.

What could be more summer-licious than sipping fruity Malibu Rum drinks while grooving poolside to the Grammy-winning sounds of R&B princess Ciara, with DJ Skribble providing the party soundtrack in between? That’s right – nothing! Head to Finnegan’s on the River (401 SW 3rd Ave., Miami) Saturday night (July 16) in Miami from 8 p.m. to midnight to get your flip-flop on with the kick-off of Malibu’s Radio Maliboom Boom Station Invasion. Ciara – who’s sure to perform hits including “1, 2 Step,” “Oh” and “Goodies” – talked to Miami.com about the tour and its signature drink.
So you’re heading down to Miami to kick off your tour. What do you think of the city?
Oh god, I love Miami, and it’s so funny because I always used to dread having to travel to Miami, because it seems to be so much farther than everywhere else. And now it’s the place that I, like, can’t wait to go to. And so I’m ready to go and vibe with my fans – I haven’t performed there in so long, so that’s gonna be really fun. And with a tour like this, it’s really sexy, so I’m just looking forward to having another great Miami experience.
So what’s the concept behind this tour?
Well, it’s Malibu Rum, and they put the tour together, and the concept of it is basically to celebrate Malibu Rum and having fun, sexy energy and everybody having the summer beach vibe.

Ciara will add some more heat to Miami’s already scorching atmosphere when she touches down in the southern zone Saturday (July 16) to kick off her summer tour as part of the Malibu Radio Maliboom Boom Station Invasion.
The ‘Ride’ creator, known for her fit frame and bold dance moves, will embark on the 10-city trek to celebrate the season with her “team Ciara” supporters. The first stop on the tour will be Miami’s Finnegan’s on the River. “It’s gonna be a lot of fun,” Ciara tells the BoomBox. “It’s gonna be sexy. We want people to get ready to have a really fun, sexy summer experience. That’s the whole goal of the tour.”
While the gifted chanteuse thinks of herself as a “social drinker” and doesn’t usually partake in throwing back libations, she occasionally indulges in Malibu, which she dubs a “sexy drink.”

She often hits the red carpet in barely-there dresses and slit-up-to-there gowns (see here and here), so it comes as no surprise that Ciara is completely at ease without any clothes on at all.
“I feel the sexiest when I’m by myself, walking around nude,” the 25-year-old R&B singer tells Us Weekly. “I have this new obsession with nudity, it’s really weird. It may sound weird, but I just really love embracing the body.”
And even though Ciara works out five days a week for an hour with trainer Gunnar Peterson, her goal isn’t to be super skinny. “I can lose weight easily and I don’t like to do that. I’m not trying to lose and get small. I just want to keep shape and I just want to focus on abs and glutes.”
She tries to “eat clean” the majority of the time, which means loading up on healthy foods like egg whites, lean protein, fruit and veggies, but also allows herself to splurge here and there. “You have to throw in a cheeseburger and French fries or a brownie and ice cream sometimes. I would never advise somebody to be so strict to where you don’t enjoy yourself.”
