New York Knicks star Amar’e Stoudamire and R&B singer Ciara started dating sometime around January. Ciara was often seen sitting courtside at Knicks games, they were spotted at events and clubs in New York and were even seen riding motobikes together because isn’t that how every couple likes to spend their free time?

There have been rumors of a split since the end of May. However, neither side officially confirmed the split until CHARGED caught up with Ciara a couple weeks ago at a concert at South Street Seaport in New York City. In a series of interviews before the performance, Ciara dropped many hints about the breakup and even laughed at the suggestion of still dating Amar’e. When first asked about her dating life Ciara said, “Well I’m young and having fun and I’m just taking my time. I’m extremely focused on my career and I’m just having fun man. I’m just laying back and just keeping it fun and sexy.”

In a follow up question Ciara was asked if she had a summer fling and responded, “No. Fling? Ugh, summer romance? No.”

When Ciara was specifically asked about Amar’e, in a third and final interview session conducted by CHARGED and two other publications, she simply laughed it off. You can see the exclusive video of Ciara discussing her personal life and laughing off Amar’e below.

Ciara has finally decided to come clean about her relationship with New York Knick star Amar’e Stoudemire. She has been spotted sitting courtside during most of his post season games and the two recently made an appearance together at DJ Prostyle’s birthday bash last week as well as the Boom Boom room last night after the MET Gala.

Kevin Frazier over at HipHollywood, caught up with Ciara earlier today and she dished the dirt on what’s good with her an her new baller:

Just interviewed Ciara and she admitted that she and Amare are indeed a couple. She was very shy about it and said “you know I don’t talk about my personal life” but when I pushed she shook her head laughed and said yes they are a couple. She added that this is a very happy time in her life and that she is really enjoying herself! She and Amare were snapped at a party after the Met Gala last night.

The hot couple didn’t shy away from the cameras, smiling as they posed together. Inside, Bruno Mars performed along with the legendary Aretha Franklin.

CiCi, who got dolled up in a short white dress, was honored for her work to help create awareness for teen pregnancy prevention, appearing earlier in the day in Times Square with YouTube star Keenan Cahill.
