After the fall out with her label Jive Records, industry watchers are keeping close tabs on Ciara’s next move. Super-producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins recently met up with the singer to discuss her future and let us in on their talks.
“I had a meeting with her about what her future holds and I told her I was there if she ever needed my creative juices, so hopefully me and her get in the studio and work,” he told Rap-Up TV at the BMI Pop Music Awards.
While there are currently no plans to have her sign to his label, he did offer his advice. “We had a long talk. I think she just has to get back to where she started,” he explained. “She had a lane that was specifically hers—that ghetto urban lane with the 808s. No female was doing that and she had it. I think if she just gets back to that, goes back to the blueprint…”
Darkchild, who produced her 2007 collaboration with 50 Cent “Can’t Leave ‘Em Alone,” told CiCi to remain true to herself. “I encouraged her when I met with her, just stick to the roots—stick to who you are. Don’t let nobody change you.”

That Grape Juice interviewed Soundz, who co-produced Gimmie Dat. He talked about CiCi, work with her and and her new album, Ciara will hit the studio in June next year!
Speaking of Ciara, you contributed several songs to her recently released ‘Basic Instinct’ album such as the single ‘Gimme Dat’. What was it like working with Ciara?
Ciara is a sweetheart. She’s a hard worker – she doesn’t come into the studio glammed up; she comes into the studio ready to work; she’s one of those true artists. She’s professional and one of the last traditional recording artists that we have that is still young.
Everybody else is on a new school way of recording but Ciara says “no I want to get it right. I should do as many takes as it takes to get it right”. She’s cool and she’s a good person as well. From day one, ever since we first started working, we’ve been staying in contact pretty much almost every other day. She’s a really cool person.

While the blogosphere and fans have fueled the feud between R&B singers Keri Hilson and Ciara, could a collaboration be in the works that would end the drama once and for all?
Miss Keri appeared on Angie Martinez’s Hot 97 radio show on Monday to once again address the rumored beef between her and her fellow ATlien. When asked whether any of the gossip was true, the Decatur songstress responded, “Not really, it’s nothing real—not in the real world. I know that they take anything and kind of drag it on. They made up that I was in New York when supposedly we had a fight or scuffle backstage. I wasn’t even in the city, I was in L.A.”
Despite growing up in the same region, Keri doesn’t see why people feel the need to pit them against each other. “I do honestly feel that there’s room for everybody,” she said. “We do two different things, we come from two different places musically.”
When Angie suggested a duet to silence the chatter, Keri replied, “That’s a thought,” hinting that one has been discussed. “I’ll be honest, I can’t say that we haven’t had some talks about it, little whispers about doing a song together, it just hasn’t happened. I’ve heard things from people…”

How about Ciara’s “Goodies?”
What happened was I wrote “Goodies” in the studio and Ciara was asleep. She was such a, like my little sister, such a baby. At that time, she was like, sixteen years old. I actually wrote the record in the studio and recorded it, and she wanted to change a few words in the song, so she called me and was like, “Sean, I think we need to do this…” “No, Ciara,” “But don’t you think that…” “No, Ciara.” She always wanted to be very involved in her music, but it was great, I changed a few words for her and kept in moving. That has a lot to do with, you have to have the ability to relate to the artist and give in sometimes even though you don’t want to give into them to a certain extent.

Bow Wow was interviewed by TeenHollywood, they asked about Ciara:
TeenHollywood: Ciara showed up for the Atlanta premiere for this movie. Are you two still tight as friends?
Bow Wow: I wouldn’t say that but I definitely respect what she does and vice versa; if you ask her, she’d probably tell you the same. I was just as shocked as everybody else was. I’m happy that she came out and enjoyed the movie. I saw that she had tweeted about it so I hit her back and said ‘Thanks, I definitely appreciate it’. But you know how that is, the moment people see us even close or near each other it starts raising eyebrows but no, I’m totally focused to on the project at hand and my career right now. That’s all I will be focused on. I wish her the best of luck. I was definitely glad she came out and supported the film. We’re growing older, we’re maturing and we’re adults and we’re able to go to each other’s events. We’re not the only ex-couple I’ve seen support each other so it shows growth and it’s all good. Source.
thanks Boogie
