HipHollywood happened to catch Ciara calling into Atlanta’s V103 yesterday (April 22) to discuss her new ‘Ride’ vid that has the entire world buzzing. Since her introduction into the music industry, we’ve seen Ciara go through several changes. She came out blazing with hits like ‘Goodies’, ‘Oh’ and ’1 2 Step’. Ciara was unarguably a breath of fresh air with a “round the way” presence that you loved to see. She was ATL’s sweetheart, indeed. Then, somewhere along the way, she traded in her kicks for stilettos, her hometown buddies for new L.A. girlfriends, and her signature halter top and hammer-esque pants for couture duds. Everyone thought, ‘Has Ciara gone Hollywood on us?’

She revealed to radio personality Ryan Cameron that she looked at her career thus far and admitted, “Something’s missing.” She felt like she had moved too far away from “CiCi”. She detailed a story about one particular show where she had to wear a slinky dress and high heels. She tells Cameron, “I said, ‘No, I’m not wearing this tonight! I just want to put some kicks on’.”

We’ll be the first to admit that it seemed like she did a complete 180 on us, and surprisingly so will Ciara. She promises that her new album is “taking it back,” and she’s “getting on herself” on certain songs.

“I need to be able to rock with Justin [Timberlake] and turn around and be able to rock with Jeezy.”

Ciara recalled one disaster that had nothing to do with her clothing. “I left the house one time and my outfit was really, really cute,” she said. “I didn’t do my own makeup. I was trying a new makeup artist that night, and my face looked like a pumpkin. I was really red. Some photos look better than others because the light kind of saved my life.”

When Kanye West sees Ciara’s “Ride” video, he’ll probably save a special place for it next to “Single Ladies” as one of the best videos of all time. In the clip for her new single featuring Ludacris, Ciara glides, bounces, and gyrates with extreme emphasis on her lady parts. If her pointing over the words, “Booties look like this size,” doesn’t enrapture viewers, then her floor-humping during the line, “I can do it however you want,” should do the trick.

Ciara employs every exaggeratedly sexual dance move in the book in “Ride.” Other highlights: Ciara fans her backside with an Atlanta Braves hat. Ciara peels her leggings down an inch before enjoying a mechanical bull ride in a wet T-shirt. Ciara dons a cut-out bodysuit and fur coat and leans against a car, promptly crossing off three more items off on her checklist of male fantasies. When Ludacris first appears with Ciara purring in his ear, all he can do is smile.
