Recently, many fans were wondering why things with Ciara are not going as they should: the promotion, the singles positions on the radio and the charts and others. Looks like we might have a answer. Yesterday, L.A. Reid (Epic Records chairman/CEO) announced that he will not return to X-Factor next year (He’s been the one of the judges for two seasons) because he wants to focus on his musical performers on the label. “I have to go back and I have a company to run that I’ve kind of neglected and it saddens me a little bit, but only a little bit. (…) I have a huge responsibility to a roster of artists and it’s kind of time for me to stop doing the ‘me’ show.” he said. According to Billboard article, L.A. Reid will take care of Ciara first:

His next project is Ciara, whose album has been moved around the schedule, followed by Avril Lavigne’s latest, which Reid had initially hoped to release in December.
