CiCi visited YFM radio today and let them listen to her new album “One Woman Army”:

Today at YFM, we had the absolute pleasure of meeting the one and only super humble and talented Ciara when she came through to give us the low down on her upcoming album titled One Woman Army.

I know that I’ll be best friends with my diary and a box of issues when the album comes out (in Winter 2012/2013 on Epic Records) because Ciara touches on the very emotional topic of romance and growing into womanhood. Emotional vulnerability, going through the ebb and flow of heartbreak and healing and becoming comfortable in one’s skin are some of the experiences that Ciara shares on this album. She describes the independent and self-assured woman that she has become, but still maintains a feminine vulnerability that makes space for what she describes as a soldier who can stand in the front line with her.

One Woman Army is going to blow us away and ladies, I’m sure that we’ll have dozens of things to talk about when we jam to this album because we’ll be able to relate to Ciara’s story, and it’ll be good to know that as young women, we all go through ‘heartships’ but there’s always light and great music at the end of the tunnel.
